Family Nutrition Program Area Coordinator - Northwest District

Job Description

The primary goal of this position is to provide direct supervision for between approximately 5 and 10 Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed) Program Assistants (PAs) and an Area Family Nutrition Program (FNP) Program Support Technician to ensure the effective delivery and evaluation of the FNP program within an assigned district.

Required Qualifications

- MS in Nutrition, Health, Family and Consumer Sciences, Education, or Related Area
- Experience with Cooperative Extension, such as EFNEP and/or SNAP-Ed
- Some supervision experience
- Experience with project management
- Strong communication and organization skills

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with community-based nutrition programs

Additional Information

Must have a driver's license check with an acceptable and safe driving record.

Must provide own transportation on a regular basis.

Travel to Blacksburg, conference locations, and other program sites as needed.

The successful candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check.
