This is an exceptional opportunity for an educational leader to help grow our current successful initiatives supporting students, residents and fellows across all pillars of the College’s education missions including baccalaureate education, graduate education, medical school, and graduate medical education.
Position Description
Reporting to the Dean of the College of Medicine, the Director of the Center for Education will create and implement innovative strategies to provide shared infrastructure for the College of Medicine's Center for Education. Through dedicated and concentrated efforts to support the above education missions, the Center for Education is designed to provide a “home” for students; the successful candidate will support the student continuum from A to Z including initial outreach, marketing, recruitment and retention, onboarding, advising, career coaching throughout experience, mentorship, event coordination and long-lasting alumni relations. The successful candidate will fulfill the responsibilities of a faculty member in an appropriate department, actively participate in teaching, clinical service and/or scholarly work, and must qualify for an appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. This position will be a 1.0 FTE Center Director and it is expected that the candidate will likely spend 0.7 FTE as the Center Director and the other 0.3 FTE supporting the tripartite mission within their home department.
