Graduation Coordinator/Administrative Assistant

Job Description

The responsibilities of the Graduation Coordinator position are to coordinate and process all data and communication in relation to the three degree-award dates within the academic year (December, May and August) and the December and May commencement ceremonies. This position is also responsible for updating and maintaining all student matriculations in Banner and supervising student employees in the Office of the Registrar.

Qualifications- Graduation Coordinator/Administrative Assistant
  • Prior experience in higher education is preferred, but not required
  • Experience in Ellucian Banner is preferred, but not required
  • The ability to effectively organize and mange data in spreadsheets is essential
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
Responsibilities- Graduation Coordinator/Administrative Assistant
  • Coordinates all graduation-related functions for the Office of the Registrar, including but not limited to: maintaining and updating the graduation application process in Banner, producing and distributing degree audit reports for advisors, coordinating diploma production schedules with Parchment, collaborating and communicating with campus offices in conjunction to commencement activities, and assisting alumni with diploma-related questions.
  • Inputs matriculation changes (major, minor, concentration, degree, etc.).
  • Produces graduation reports for the Registrar, Provost, and Board of Trustees.
  • Hires, trains, and supervises student employees.
  • Completes special projects as assigned by the Registrar.
