Job Description

The University of Indianapolis seeks an experienced Executive VP of Finance and Administration (EVP) with outstanding leadership and executive skills to help lead the University into the future. Reporting directly to the President, the Executive VP of Finance and Administration is one of two Executive Vice Presidents for the University and a key member of the University’s Senior Leadership Team. The EVP is a key strategic partner to the President on all financial matters, especially as they relate to right-sizing the operational structure to align with current strategic priorities, new revenue generation, and operational efficiencies.

The EVP provides leadership and management of the following functions for the University: strategic management of finance, facilities, campus operations, vendor management, IT, procurement, and auxiliary business. It includes working closely with the President and the Provost and EVP of Academic Affairs on strategic planning and budgeting, efficient allocation of the University’s resources, hiring and developing their team, assessing and ensuring operational efficiency and excellence, as well as identifying and developing new sources of revenue. The position has significant visibility and requires involvement with all campus departments, vendors, ratings agencies, community, and corporate leaders. Additional responsibilities include ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices, including but not limited to tax laws, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), federal acquisition regulations (FAR), and cost accounting standards (CAS).

This position works in close partnership with and oversees the University's Associate Vice President and Controller, Director of Facilities Management, Interim Chief Information Officer, and Interim Chief Technology Officer.
