Job Description:

The Campus Wellness Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating wellness events, activities and communications on the Joplin Campus. Additionally, this role will support student academic success by conducting administrative, clerical and coordinating activities involving the advising/coaching program, student success, and student-led organizations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support and coordinate activities and initiatives associated with Campus Health & Wellness, THRIVE program, and other key stakeholders involved in contributing to the success and well-being of our students
  • Will work with faculty, staff, partners, and students on the coordination of meetings, events, scheduling, capturing minutes, and serving as a conduit for students and university programs implemented to support their academic success and well-being
  • Assist with the planning and coordination of Campus Health & Wellness events and initiatives
  • Provide assistance supporting administrative tasks associated with student-led and University-wide committees as well as curricular and co-curricular activities
  • Serve as an early intervention coordinator for a pilot program within the College of Dental Medicine, to support academic success within the program through participation in calculation and finalization of course grades
  • Tracking and documentation of student attendance to assist with curricular compliance
  • Greets and receives visitors to the program office/sites for program activities
  • Serves as a liaison between the program, University departments, and external partners
  • Coordinates the flow of incoming and outgoing communications by receiving, routing, and/or responding to written and phone correspondence
  • Supports the program with reviewing, monitoring, producing, copying, procuring, and approving program materials
  • Supports staff to develop and monitor compliance, tracking, and reporting documentation to ensure confidentiality and compliance with federal, state, and local laws and University policy
  • Organizes and stores program documentation for coordination and timely and easy access by University leadership and program staff
  • Provides information for reports and records through research, data retrieval, compiling, and/or tabulating statistics, and organizing/presenting information in useable/understandable formats
  • Prepares correspondence for approval and signature, checking documents for accuracy
  • May serve as event coordinator for various functions of the department
  • Serves as lead for CRM management for the THRIVE Program
  • Thoroughly/accurately documents time devoted to THRIVE using HRSA/University-mandated requirements, procedures, and accounting coding to ensure program costs are appropriately charged to the HRSA grant and non-allowable costs are not charged to the grant
  • Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Knowledge typically obtained through a bachelor's degree, health sciences, public health, or similar field of study in higher education preferred
  • Four years prior experience as a coordinator and/or administrative assistant
  • Experience/success providing executive-level support to senior-level management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to interact effectively and work efficiently with people at all levels in an organization
  • Exhibits and applies critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge/experience with office automation equipment, including phones, computers, and related software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Previous experience with CRM systems desired but not required
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Customer Relationship Management Systems (CRM) preferred
  • Exceptional organizational skills and demonstrated success in a multi-task environment with attention to detail and follow-through
