Students learn human-centered research methods to ensure that these experiences focus on user needs and desires, thus empowering the people who interact with interfaces. Alumni are designers in software companies and leading design firms including IBM, Red Hat, SAS, Lenovo, Citrix, IQVIA, Pentagram, IDEO, Willowtree, and R/GA. Recent MGXD graduates are also faculty at major research universities including Virginia Tech, University of Arkansas, The Ohio State University, University of Illinois, University of Florida, and Boise State.
