Rhode Island College invites applicants for the position of Assistant/Associate/Professor - Cybersecurity, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science. This position is a full-time, academic year, continuing tenure-track position.
The individuals will teach courses in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, computer information systems, data analytics, and/or computer science.
Computer Science and Information Systems (CSIS) is a dynamic growing department that offers majors in computer information systems, computer science, and cybersecurity. We work very closely with the exciting new Institute of Cybersecurity and Emerging Technologies.
Rhode Island College is a mid-sized institution of about 6400 students located in a suburban setting in Providence. We serve and celebrate a diverse student population in which over 40% of the undergraduates are students of color and over 45% are the first in their family to attend college. The College boasts an engaged faculty community, and a proud tradition of shared governance. Recently, RIC was federally designated as a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI). As a small state in New England, Rhode Island has much to offer, with beaches, wooded areas, and the cultural and academic resources found in Providence and nearby Boston and New York.
Required qualifications:
- Doctorate in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or closely related field. Good teaching skills Good knowledge of information systems Artificial intelligence Cybersecurity and/or computer science Good ability to impart this knowledge to undergraduate students as well as fulfill all other job functions.
Preferred qualifications:
- Teaching experience at the college level. Industry experience in IS/IT and/or software development. Interest in teaching and researching in one or more of the following or related areas: cybersecurity, data analytics/science, computer networking, cloud computing, and computer programming/software development. Ability to teach in-person, hybrid and online courses. Bilingual

Proposed starting salary: $70,730 minimum for terminal degree. Additional compensation may be added for teaching at the collegiate level or other relevant experience.
