About Baylor’s School of Education — For more than 100 years, the School of Education has advanced Baylor University’s mission across the globe while preparing students for a range of careers focused on education, leadership, and human development. With more than 65 full-time faculty, the school’s growing research portfolio complements its commitment to excellence in teaching and student mentoring. The school boasts an array of academic offerings housed in three academic departments: Educational Psychology, Curriculum and Instruction, and Educational Leadership. Baylor’s award-winning undergraduate program in teacher education serves approximately 350 students and has earned national distinction for innovative partnerships with local schools that provide future teachers with extensive clinical preparation. Likewise, the school’s more recently established graduate programs to prepare principals and superintendents are recognized for their excellent preparation of school leaders.

More than 700 graduate students pursue advanced study and professional preparation in the School of Education’s master’s, Ed.S., Ed.D., and Ph.D. programs. With multiple faculty searches underway, the school is in a period of significant expansion and poised for greater impact through the production of high-impact research and the preparation of outstanding leaders, teachers, clinicians, and scholars.
