Position
- Administrative Assistant, part-time (project organization, admin support).
- 10-15 hours/week, at AU rate ($17/hour undergrad; $17.75/hour grad).
- Administrative support, including compiling policies, email lists, memo writing, meeting organization, tracking teaching, managing project and associated research.
- General support such as organization, tracking, scheduling, communication, literature searches, data management (transcription, compilation, data cleaning, basic content analysis, software use), survey design, data collection, and reporting.
- Preferred candidates will be enrolled in a graduate program (Ph.D., MA, MBA, MPA) or undergraduate program in the social sciences, education, business, policy, or a related field. Candidates must be computer-literate, have excellent skills in web research, organizing, communication, proficiency in English, and writing.
- Special consideration will be given for demonstrated organizational skills and policy writing.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the USA to be considered.
- Employment is through the Kogod School of Business, American University.
- Hiring offers for this position are contingent on successful completion of a background check.
- Employees in staff positions at American University must deliver their services to the university from either the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia, or perform work on-site at the university.
