Job Summary

Teach baking and pastry credit courses.

Required Qualification(s)

• Associate’s degree in Baking, Pastry, or related.

Desired Qualification(s)

• Three (3) to five (5) years’ industry experience
• Specialty pastry skills – yeast breads including sourdoughs, rye, specialty breads, and specialty diets (gluten free, allergen free, etc.)
• Teaching experience
• Bilingual in Spanish and English

Applications are currently being accepted for the spring semester of 2022 and beyond. Qualified applicants will be contacted by the academic department when an opening is anticipated. The number of adjunct faculty hired varies from semester to semester, depending upon the needs of the department. Adjunct faculty hires and assignments are coordinated by the department chairs.

Teach the core baking and pastry credit courses, Patisserie I, Patisserie II and including baking electives including Yeast Breads, Cake Decorating, and Contemporary Restaurant Desserts.
