The Social Work Department at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke seeks to establish a pool of qualified adjunct instructors for the upcoming academic year.

Specific Job Responsibilities:
• Plan course instruction according to approved syllabus
• Hold classes as scheduled, and complete all class-related activities in a timely manner
• Maintain effective and timely communication with students and faculty
• Adhere to university policies and procedures

Applicants who seek to teach in the MSW Program must have a Ph.D. in Social Work or closely related field from an accredited university/institution. Applicants who seek to teach practice courses must have at least, two years post-MSW professional social work experience. Applicants who seek to teach online classes must have online teaching experience or be willing to complete online teaching training conducted by the university. Candidates who have completed closely related masters or doctoral degree (e.g., counselling, mental health, family and marriage therapy, creative art therapy, substance abuse, psychology, psychiatry, etc.) and who have substantial professional/practice experience may be considered for elective and special topic courses.

UNCP is a master’s level degree-granting university and one of 17 schools that comprise the University of North Carolina system.
