Coastal Carolina University invites applications for the esteemed position of Director of Orientation, Transition & Family Programs. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for the development, implementation, facilitation, and assessment of year-round parent/family programming/orientation; Support the development of and participate in all family programs facilitated by the department including Family Weekend; Guide, support, and assist with the planning, promotion, implementation, and assessment of all orientation programs (i.e. freshmen, transfer, special populations, parent/family, and online); Develop and create new orientation initiatives that respond to the needs of incoming students and their parent/family: Guide, support, and assist with the planning, promotion, implementation, and assessment of all transition programs (i.e. Teal Nation Welcome, Tau Sigma, Transition days/weeks, etc.); Develop and oversee creation and management of departmental communication; Develop on and off-campus collaborations and partnerships to enhance orientation, transition, and parent/family programs, services and initiatives; Manage all departmental budgets; and Provide oversight for student staff leadership development learning outcomes for all levels of student staff.

Requirements: A master’s degree, five (5) years of related experience and an in-depth understanding of student development are required. A master’s degree in College Student Personnel or related area preferred and direct experience with orientation and/or family programs is preferred.

Student Services Manager I (CB75/61121833/ FTE-S00903P), full-time position with benefits. SC State Pay Band: 06. Salary range:  $45,530.00 (minimum) to $64,885.00 (midpoint).  Normal work hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Friday, 8:00 am to 12:30 pm. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university. This position requires extensive evening and weekend hours as assigned by supervisor, particularly during Orientation and Teal Nation Welcome.
