The Sonography Department at St. Catherine University is one of only two universities in the Upper Midwest to offer a Bachelor of Science degree in sonography. St. Catherine University specializes in educating health care professionals and has an outstanding reputation in the healthcare community as the metro area’s leading healthcare educator. The Sonography Program also has an extensive clinical network where students will gain training in real-world environments. Join our team of dedicated faculty who share their personal insight into the profession!
Long term this position requires a completion of a graduate degree. We are happy to consider candidates who have completed a bachelor level degree. In this case, enrollment in a master’s degree of study will be required and will have a identified timeline for completion. Tuition remission would be made available upon enrollment in the graduate degree program.

Responsibilities:
- Teach 6 course load per year
- Designs, teaches, evaluates and revises course content to reflect evidence-based practice and most current knowledge in the field
- Mentors and advises undergraduate students within the program
- Evaluate student performance and provide timely and frequent feedback to students on academic performance
- Participant in scholarly and professional activities to maintain or advance currency in within the fields, including but limited to participating in professional conferences, and or serving on a sonography organization at local, state or national levels
- Participate in service opportunities at the school, university, and professional levels

Minimum Qualifications
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDCS,RCSorACS)
- Knowledge of the healthcare industry and its trends
- Experience working with diverse population
- Bachelors degree in Sonography or related field
- 5 years of clinical experience as a Sonographer
- Individual with a Bachelor degree will be expected to enroll and finish a Master’s degree
- Masters or Doctoral Degree
- 2 years of years of clinical experience as a Sonographer
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior teaching experience in an Adult Echocardiography program
- Experience developing and implementing simulation activities
- Experience utilizing a learning management system while teaching (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard)
