Postdoctoral Associate - Study of Women, Gender & Sexuality



The Center for the Study of Women, Gender, and Sexuality (CSWGS) at Rice University seeks candidates for a postdoctoral associate in the humanities or social sciences for scholars whose research and teaching centers on Sexuality. Research focus on region(s) of Global South other than Latin America is a plus.

Postdoctoral associates will be expected to make significant progress in their research and publication, to participate actively in the intellectual life of the Center, and to teach two courses per year.

The Center is particularly interested in applicants who demonstrate a record of feminist research, innovative teaching, and the potential to contribute to the Center’s program by offering courses and workshops facilitating community-based engaged research.

Ph.D. must be conferred between June 29, 2021 and June 30, 2024.

The fellowship has a term of one year, beginning July 1, 2024, renewable for a second year upon successful completion of the first year.

The postdoctoral associates will receive an annual salary of $70,000 plus benefits, plus $1500 as a signing bonus in lieu of relocation expenses and $1500 for research expenses.
