The Maintenance Specialist II position is a 12-month full-time
career service position. The Maintenance Specialist II will serve
as a lead mechanic, coordinate and participate in a variety of
maintenance functions, including but not limited to, HVAC,
electrical, and plumbing; be responsible for scheduled and
unscheduled maintenance of assigned buildings and grounds areas
throughout the district; and provide security of buildings and the
maintenance of necessary supplies and parts. The Maintenance
Specialist II will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair digital
control systems and components; conduct inspections of assigned
areas; perform preventive maintenance on an established schedule;
and maintain an inventory of shop supplies and parts and
replenishes stock to insure adequate facility and program support.
The successful candidate may be exposed to inclement weather
conditions and may be required to work hours outside the normal
schedule, including evenings, nights, and weekends. This position
is currently located on the Pensacola Campus but may be assigned to
other locations. This position reports to Senior Maintenance
Graduation from high school or GED
equivalency and four years’ experience as a journeyman HVAC
mechanic, or journeyman electrician, or journeyman plumbing; and a
valid driver’s license. Successful results of a criminal background
check are required.

SALARY: $27,825.00 ($14.27/Hour)
