The University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) Department of Economics and Finance is accepting applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Economics (R0040773) to begin Fall 2024. Fields of specialization are open, but in addition to courses in the area of specialization, the new faculty member will be expected to teach one or more of the following courses during a typical year: statistics, principles of microeconomics, principles of macroeconomics, or managerial economics.  The university expects instructional excellence and scholarly output appropriate for a school with AACSB accreditation of its undergraduate and MBA programs. 

UALR is a metropolitan university located in Little Rock, the capital and the governmental and financial center of the State. The Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance is housed in the School of Business.  The city enjoys a moderate climate, a moderate size population, a diverse terrain, and a myriad of cultural and sports activities.

Required Qualifications: Candidates should have a PhD in Economics or should have completed all degree requirements by commencement of employment. 

Preferred Qualifications: Teaching experience and publications are desirable.
