Job Summary

The primary function of the ET is to collaborate with faculty and staff to effectively integrate use of technology. The ET will focus on innovative change and help to identify and implement appropriate technology solutions. The ET will be “student focused” to ensure all technologies implemented support the overall success of our students. Essentially, this individual must rest between being “tech savvy” and having an appreciation for the end user experience to successfully identify, develop, and implement technology solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supports projects and builds collaborative working relationships with various departments and stakeholders (e.g., IT, Academic Affairs, Student Support Services, etc.)
• Facilitates academic technology ideation conversations with end-users
• Supports the implementation of technologies from pilot through scaled launch
• Researches and evaluates new technologies, initiatives, and trends to enhance teaching and learning and student services
• Routinely evaluates the existing academic technology portfolio, measures their use and impact, and assesses technology needs
• Assists in the annual classroom technology refresh program
• Develops training content and facilitates professional development sessions to support the effective use of new and existing academic technologies
• Provides support for end users in the use of adopted academic technologies
• Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
• Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College ( TCC )
• Supports the values of the College: diversity, teaching excellence, student success, innovation and creativity and service to the College
• Supports the mission, values and 3 goals and 8 principles of the College

Required Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures

• Bachelor’s degree
• Three (3) years of directly related experience
• One (1) year of experience working with academic technologies (e.g., LMS )

Desired Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures

• Master’s degree
• Experience with instructional design and assessing academic classroom needs
• Experience as a faculty member with broad general knowledge of curriculum, curriculum development, and instructional best practices
• Experience acting as technology advocate

• Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration
• Ability to work effectively, independently, or, on a team
• Skills planning and facilitating group decision making
• Exceptional project management and execution skills
• Proficiency in technical writing and oral communication
