Assistant Professor of Psychology

Job Summary:

9-month, tenure-track position in clinical or counseling psychology

Scope:

The School of Health and Behavioral Sciences at Ohio Northern University invites applications for an assistant professor of psychology for the 2024/2025 academic year.

Review of applications will begin on October 1st.

Principal Responsibilities:

Candidates in all areas of clinical and counseling psychology will be considered but preference will be given to candidates able to teach courses in personality and multicultural psychology and/or within the area of neuroscience. Ohio Northern faculty maintain a 4:4 course load, but the teaching load during the first year of appointment is negotiable. Additional responsibilities will include advising undergraduate students and mentoring undergraduate involvement in faculty-led research.

Required Skills:

A strong commitment to excellence and innovation in teaching at the undergraduate level.

Minimum Qualifications:

PhD (ABD will be considered)
