Work Site Location: Workforce Training Center
Work Schedule: 1-3 days per week, typically 8-11 hours per week
Starting pay: $34.25 per hour
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for teaching the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) courses at North Idaho College Workforce Training Center (WTC). The CNA course consists of 144 hours of instruction, generally taught 8-11 hours per week over 13 weeks. Curriculum includes theory, lab and clinical experiences taught in-person and online via Canvas. Courses are offered in a variety of sections and days of the week and instructors may teach one cohort at a time or more, depending upon availability and need. At times, instructors may share a course and teach theory or lab/clinical sections.

Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience :
• Minimum of two years’ documented experience working as a Registered nurse; one year documented experience working in long term care facility or caring for the elderly or chronically ill preferred
• Successful completion of a course in methods of instruction or a “train-the-trainer” program (must be completed within 30 days of hire, WTC will set up and pay for the training)
Required License and/or Certifications :
Current, unencumbered license to practice as a Professional Nurse (RN) in Idaho
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills
• Expert knowledge in subject area
• Ability to present ideas and information in a clear, organized fashion in group setting
• Ability to use a personal computer and associated peripherals (Canvas) and current versions of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, Internet and alternative delivery system (e.g., internet and interactive video) at a proficient level
• Ability to operate standard office equipment including phone, copier
