Assistant Professor - Health Sciences

The Department of Health Sciences in the College of Health Professions and Sciences (CHPS) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for two, 9-month, tenure-earning assistant professor positions. The expected start date is Fall2024.

Candidates with expertise in health, lifestyle, social, and cultural factors impacting disease risk/progression and quality of life among vulnerable/marginalized populations are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain a productive line of research; publish in highly-ranked, peer-reviewed journals in their discipline; pursue and secure external funding to support their research program; teach undergraduate and future graduate courses; mentor students in research and provide them with sound advice for professional development; participate in internal and external professional service activities; and demonstrate collegiality in all aspects of faculty engagement. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential. The teaching load for this position is 2/2.
