Job Description Summary
Provide comprehensive technical support to faculty, staff, and doctoral students across all Wharton academic departments. This is accomplished through identifying, diagnosing, resolving, or escalating support requests.

Duties
The candidate will ensure a positive customer support experience by understanding the problem, providing prompt and timely communications with the progress of the resolution, providing options and recommendations for possible resolutions, and ensuring a professional attitude. Collaboration across groups within the organization is also expected.
Support and train faculty in the use of classroom technologies, Learning Management Systems, and Custom Applications that enhance the teaching experience from a faculty perspective. Support Faculty sponsored events such as guest speakers and conferences.
Evaluate, recommend, purchase, and implement new technologies and products. Support technical operations of academic departments when it relates to Information Technology.
Occasional weekend and off-hours support for faculty emergency issues. On-call contact may be required during non-business hours
as well.
Qualifications
Qualifications For Senior
- Bachelor of Science and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Experience with a variety of desktop/laptop operating systems, including Windows and Mac OS, mobile operating systems, and a wide variety of software applications, including Microsoft Office, anti-virus, Learning management systems, and desktop management systems.
- Effective and professional interpersonal skills, excellent social skills, an ability to work independently while transitioning to a more collaborative team-work environment
- Excellent customer service with the ability to exercise informed judgment, tact, confidentiality/diplomacy in all interactions with the Wharton community
Qualifications For Junior
- Bachelor of Science and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Experience with a variety of desktop/laptop operating systems, including Windows and Mac OS, mobile operating systems, and a wide variety of software applications, including Microsoft Office, anti-virus, Learning management systems, and desktop management systems.
