Job Details
The Lally School of Management at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute seeks applications for a tenure-track (or tenured) faculty position at the Associate Professor level in Business Analytics/Supply Chain Management starting Fall 2023.
Candidates must have a Ph.D degree in Analytics, Operations Research, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related field. Candidate must present evidence of effective teaching, and possess a national or international record of academic, scholarly and/or research recognition, as typically achieved through five (5) or more years in a tenure track position.
The successful candidate must have demonstrated evidence for excellence in research and high-quality business journal publications. Skills in program development and other leadership roles would be a plus. The candidate will have a demonstrated potential and commitment to effective teaching in our graduate and undergraduate degree programs in supply chain and business analytics, as well as provide service to the School of Management and to Rensselaer.

The position requires excellence in research in the area of supply chain and analytics, effective written communication skills, and strong technical skills in areas such as analytical modeling, data management, machine learning and computation. Demonstrated interest in emerging technologies including artificial intelligence and Blockchain and in topics relevant to global shifts in supply chains would be a plus. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage with and develop research initiatives aligned both within the Lally School and with the new strategic research initiatives at Rensselaer.
