Position Overview
Marquette University invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Practice to begin Fall 2024. The position will involve teaching 3 courses per semester, primarily in Corporate Social Responsibility and Human Resources or Organizational Behavior, including online and traditional classroom-based courses.
The position also requires publication in academic journals valued by the Management Department, including scholarly and practitioner journals consistent with an AACSB classification as a “scholarly practitioner,” and non-teaching responsibilities as a full time faculty member, such as advising students, serving on academic committees, and other duties consistent with the mission of the Department.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare a well organized syllabus and teaching plans that clearly reflect the program objectives and expectations, conduct well-prepared class sessions that effectively deliver the course content and engages students, administer meaningful and relevant assignments, and grade student’s work with an emphasis on student development.
Scholarly activities will include publication in journals valued by the Management Department, including scholarly and practitioner journals consistent with AACSB “scholarly practitioner” classification. Department and college service expectations as discussed above.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Terminal degree: Ph.D. or DBA is desired.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Teaching experience in the relevant area at the university level or professional training experience strongly preferred.
