Working hours:

Position Purpose
Utilizes the nursing process in an outpatient setting to assist clients in achieving optimum wellness.
Documents patient information, including history, assessment, impression, treatments, medication given and ordered, response to treatment and other information as applicable such as referrals, allied health professionals and treatment at other facilities or physician offices.
Assesses patient education needs, develops and conducts teaching plans in response to identified needs, and evaluates effectiveness of interventions, including counseling and teaching of patients on specific disease states and proper prevention and health promotion measures for achieving and maintaining the patient’s optimum level of wellness.
Maintains the clinical environment in accordance with standards of safe practice and infection control. Restocks supplies, medication, linen, crutches, liquid nitrogen, and disposes of all waste, including biohazard wastes, before, during and after patient treatment, according to universal precaution standards.

Experience
One (1) year nursing experience; outpatient clinic and/or hospital experience preferred.

Current Missouri License Practical Nurse License or eligible for license.
IV Certification preferred.
Certification in CPR / BLS with AED preferred.
