During Fall/Spring semesters, this position will work Monday –
Friday; 8 am to 5 pm.
During Summer semester, this position will work Monday –

Serves as initial point of contact for students, faculty, and staff
seeking services at the University Health Center. Uses established
procedures to schedule appointments by determining the priority
order of the medical issue and directing the patient flow in the
Ensure all patients present with proper identification and
insurance documents, collect and verify patient information, and
enter all data as necessary into the electronic medical records
systems timely and accurately.
Assists with immunization record collection by answering questions
about mandatory requirements, copying immunization records, and
having patients complete the Mandatory Immunization Form. Enter
immunization data into Banner and scan into Xtender as
Assists with insurance billing and posting of charges to student
accounts as necessary.
Serves as backup for other front office personnel.
Performs other medical office duties pertaining to billing,
information collection and medical records as requested.
Education & Formal Training
High school diploma or equivalent
Other Education & Formal Training
Associate’s degree in accounting, office administration, business
or related field preferred.
Word-Processing, Other - EMR; Banner preferred
Two (2) years clerical experience.
Experience in medical, clinical, or health service provision
environment involving the use of electronic medical records
Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal

Working knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
