The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Director for Student-Athlete Services in the Student Success Center. The position will be responsible for developing, implementing, managing and assessing all aspects of academic support services provided to our student-athletes and will report directly to the Director of the Student Success Center.
Essential Functions:
Minimum Qualifications:
A Master's Degree in the areas of Student Personnel Services, Counseling, Higher Education Administration, or a related subject area. Progressive experience providing academic services to college-athletes. Extensive knowledge of the characteristics of college-athletes and providing academic assistance to student-athletes. Knowledge of NCAA regulations governing student-athletes. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to complete detailed tasks. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with coaches, students, faculty, staff, administrators, parents, and alumni, as well as the community. Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion when dealing with confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with DegreeWorks and Banner
Experience with Report Writing in Cognos
Experience using ARMS and Compliance Assistant
