Admissions Counselor, Assistant Director of Admissions and Associate Director of Admissions

Admission positions represent the University and its programs to prospective students, their families, high school guidance counselors and teachers through on and off campus visits, phone calling and special events. Admission staff are responsible for being proactive in developing relationships that lead to successful recruitment of Loyola students within a
specified geographic territory. Extensive travel in the fall and spring with some weekends required. In addition, these positions will be responsible for special projects assigned by the Director. Admissions based positions are campus-based in New Orleans, LA.

Qualifications for Admission Counselor
● Bachelor's degree required.
● Minimum of one year experience in admissions, sales, public-relations, or other
customer-service related positions. Student worker experience will also be accepted.

Qualifications for Assistant Director
● Bachelor's degree required.
● Minimum of three years’ experience in admission, enrollment management, higher ed
 experience or secondary school counseling required. Additional experience
preferred.

Qualifications for Associate Director
● Bachelor's degree required; Master’s preferred
● Minimum of five years’ experience in admission, enrollment management, higher ed
experience or secondary school counseling required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

● Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
● Must be able to carry and transport 40 pounds of materials and/or equipment.
● Must be a licensed driver of an automobile with an acceptable driving record as
determined by Loyola University’s Office of Risk Management.
● Must be able and willing to travel long distances if needed by airplane and by auto.
