Job Details
The Department of Literatures in English at Bryn Mawr College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant or early Associate Professor position in African American and/or African diasporic literatures to begin August 1, 2024. The historical period is open, and specialists in all literary forms are encouraged to apply. We are especially interested in approaches informed by decoloniality, transnationalisms, performance studies, disability studies, Black feminisms, comparative ethnic studies, and/or ecocriticism.
The successful candidate will join us in developing and teaching a diverse and inclusive curriculum, including interdisciplinary programs and other college-wide initiatives, such as the 360 Program and the first-year Emily Balch Seminars. Candidates must have completed all Ph.D. requirements by the start date.
