The New York State Assembly Intern Program is seeking a dynamic, team orientated Assistant Professor of Political Science to fill a full-time, year-round, in-person position for the Assembly Session Internship held at New York State’s capitol. The Internship serves up to 150 undergraduate students, with the program running annually, January through June. Duties include teaching a weekly class on NYS politics and policy, creating program specific lectures, grading academic assignments and editing for internal publications. The position also requires general administrative duties and managing Moodle accounts and content.
Requirements: Must be a PhD in Political Science with experience teaching state and local government. Experience with the NYS legislature or other state legislative bodies preferred. Must be comfortable with excel and Adobe Pro, or willing to learn. Salary commensurate with experience.
