Job Description:
The Video Production and Editing Adjunct in Mass Communication will be responsible for teaching introductory and intermediate courses in digital video production and editing for television, commercial videography, and narrative filmmaking. The candidate will also be expected to teach courses in the college's television studio.
Requirements:
The candidate should have at least a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Film, or a related field and/or significant professional experience as a cameraperson or editor in the world of film, television, or commercial videography. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate excellent communication skills and have a strong commitment to working as part of a collaborative team. Finally, the candidate should display a willingness to work with and mentor students who are honing the skills and developing the experience needed to enter a range of media industries after graduation. Candidates should also be able to speak about how they would teach the courses using inclusive pedagogy. Candidates should provide a link to their professional portfolio or examples of work on their resume.
