Salary range: $36,000 - $39,000 annually
Duties and Responsibilities of Assistant Softball Coach
- Serve as Assistant Softball Coach reporting to the Head Softball Coach.
- Assist head coach in the planning, organizing, and coaching of the softball team
- Strong knowledge of softball skills and strategies in one or more areas (e.g., defense, pitching, etc.)
- Other responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting the head coach with the recruiting, academic oversight, fundraising, social media and coordinating of camps and coaching clinics
- Maintain knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations

Education of Assistant Softball Coach
- Bachelor's Degree
- Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, Education, Fitness or related program is preferred
- Two years softball coaching experience required at the professional, college or high school level
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to use personal vehicle to drive on behalf of the University
- Must meet the Minimum Driver Qualifications as defined by the Use of Vehicles for University Business Policy
- Must have strong team building/management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to coordinate collaborative efforts
- Demonstrated experience in program development, management, and leadership
- Ability to interact with members of the public and media
- Ability to supervise temporary staff
- Understanding of the student-athletes' commitment to academics
- Ability to lift and carry up to 10 lbs. frequently, and up to 20 lbs. occasionally
- As a part of the job responsibilities associated with this position, knowledge of rules and regulations set forth by the NCAA and conference should be maintained, reviewed and practiced to ensure compliance relative to those applicable duties
- Ability to work across academic and administrative departments in a cooperative manner
