Position location: Kingston, RI
Salary Range: Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Position is full-time calendar year, permanent.
BASIC FUNCTION:
Provide visionary, innovative leadership to areas currently under University College for Academic Success and the greater University community as the University looks to enhance student support, retention, and success as it relates to the university’s Strategic plan: FOCUS. This currently includes advising, programs for new first year and transfer students, undecided/major exploration students, student athletes, the Academic Enhancement Center, and Center for Career and Experiential Education, Transfer Resource Center, Prior Learning Assessment, Service Learning, Early Alert, and special academic programs. Create an atmosphere conducive to the intellectual growth and development of students, staff, and the greater community. Represent undergraduate student interests on appropriate University committees, collaborate with the academic colleges, and assume a leadership role in the development of enhanced advisement processes and procedures. In concert with the academic deans, participate in the development of the academic support programs of the University. Work across offices, colleges, and divisions to enhance current support services with a strong lens on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
