Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs
Stockton University (Stockton) invites applications for the position of Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. Founded in 1969, Stockton University is consistently ranked among the nation’s finest educational institutions and among the top 100 public national universities. Stockton proudly offers the academic, technological and cultural advantages of a large institution combined with the community spirit of a small liberal arts college. The University is located in the Pinelands National Reserve in southern New Jersey, about one hour from Philadelphia, two hours from New York City, three hours from the Baltimore/Washington area, and 20 minutes from Atlantic City.
With more than 9,000 undergraduate and graduate students and nearly 700 full-time and part-time faculty members, Stockton offers more than 160 undergraduate and graduate programs in its seven academic schools, as well as continuing education opportunities. The incoming Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs will serve as Stockton’s chief academic officer, supporting the implementation of the University’s academic mission and providing curricular and administrative leadership within a shared governance environment.
The Provost will be an engaged, collaborative and innovative leader with a demonstrated commitment to faculty excellence and student success. The Provost will be an institutional advocate and effective communicator with both internal and external constituencies. The Stockton University Provost and VPAA Search Committee will begin reviewing candidate materials in mid-October. Final selection and announcement of the next Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs is expected to be made by mid-December.
