VISTING PROFESSOR OF BIOLOGY AT MIDDLEBURY
COLLEGE. The Department of Biology invites applications
for a three-year visiting appointment at the rank of Assistant
Professor of Biology with expertise in cell biology or genetics.
This position will last from Fall 2024 to Spring 2027. There is the
option of extending for a year after that. Applicants should have a
Ph.D. and demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching. The
successful candidate will teach an introductory course in cell
biology and genetics, a middle-level course in molecular genetics,
electives in their area of expertise, and will contribute to the
college-wide curriculum via occasionally teaching in Winter Term.
The department is especially interested in candidates who can
contribute to the growing diversity and excellence of the academic
community through their teaching. Demonstration of evidence-based
inclusive pedagogy and mentoring to a diverse population of
students is essential. This position is eligible for Middlebury
College's generous benefits package. The successful candidate will
have access to lab space if they wish to have an active research
program.
