Salary Range:
- $50,000 to $60,000
General Responsibilities - Serve as Head Coach for the Stunt program and develop the foundation for the NCAA Division II STUNT program! Purdue Northwest will begin competition in the sport of STUNT in the 2024-25 academic year. . This position reports to the Director of Athletics. Plan, organize, recruit and develop the Stunt, Cheer and Dance programs. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to academic oversight, fundraising, and coordinating of camps and coaching clinics.
- Coach the Stunt team in game competition
- Direct practice for the Stunt team during the prescribed season
- Oversee Stunt program, responsible for the development of the program
- Supervise Assistant Coaches
- Recruit prospective student-athletes
- Lead team travel
- Provide leadership and direction for the Cheer and Dance programs, responsible for the development of the programs
- Oversee Cheer and Dance teams that will perform at home men's and women's basketball games as well as other selected games and promotional events
- Oversee practice for the Cheer and Dance teams during the prescribed season
- Supervise Cheer and Dance Coaches
- Construct competition schedule with approval of the Director of Athletics
- Assist with academic monitoring of student-athletes
- Assist the Director of Athletics with public relations and fundraising activities
- Direct summer camps

Education of Head Stunt Coach
- Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, Education, Fitness or related program is preferred
- One year stunt, cheer, gymnastics, and / or dance coaching experience required at the professional, college or high school level
- Must have strong team building/management skills
- Ability to work across academic and administrative departments in a cooperative manner
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to coordinate collaborative efforts
- Demonstrated experience in program development, management, and leadership
- Ability to interact with members of the public and media
- Ability to supervise regular and temporary staff
- Understanding of the student-athletes' commitment to academics
- Ability to lift and carry up to 10 lbs. frequently, and up to 20 lbs. occasionally
- As a part of the job responsibilities associated with this position, knowledge of rules and regulations set forth by the NCAA, USA Cheer and conference should be maintained, reviewed and practiced to ensure compliance.
