Position Summary

Are you seeking a dynamic academic position that is focused on teaching future health care leaders? If you are, take a look at a new opportunity in the College of Health Professions, Bachelor of Science in Health Services Program. We are seeking a pool of adjunct instructors to support this fast growing program. Opportunities for instruction are face-to-face and online. Face-to-face courses are taught during the day and are offered on both the MCV and Monroe Park Campuses and include the following topics:

• Introduction to Healthcare Professions
• Person-centered Care
• Human Growth and Development
• Healthcare Technology and Innovation
• Professional and Clinical Ethics
• Healthcare Economics
• Leadership Development
• Healthcare Finance and Management
• Research in Healthcare
  Healthcare Management and Performance

This position is aligned with the missions of the college and university, focusing on providing optimal student experiences and learning opportunities as we support the next generation of healthcare leaders.

Required Qualifications

• Masters degree in health sciences discipline, psychology, organizational development, or closely related field
• Previous experience teaching at the undergraduate level
• Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff and student environment or commitment to do as an adjunct faculty member at VCU
  

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD or in progress
• Experience teaching online and face-to-face
• Experience in CANVAS

Salary Range: $3,975
