Reporting to the Dean of the College of Science, this critical
position is responsible for setting the vision, implementing
strategic initiatives, and coordinating information technology
activities within the College of Science. This newly created
position serves as the college’s primary advisor on technical
issues pertaining to the planning and delivery of the college's
information technology and services.
Providing leadership and technical expertise regarding the
strategic planning, development, and deployment of technology
solutions for the college are integral responsibilities for this
role. The Director of Information Technology will provide oversight
and coordination of IT security activities, network infrastructure,
web application development, and educational and research
The Director will coordinate with the Division of IT, work with
relevant College of Science unit IT professionals, and serve as a
resource to on- and off-campus IT professionals.
