The Assistant Director of Housing and Residence Life for Programming and Development is responsible for coordinating the planning, implementation, and assessment of all programming initiatives in the residence halls. The incumbent also has primary responsibility for the coordination of undergraduate/graduate student staff recruitment, selection, training, and on-going staff development/education. The Assistant Director of Housing and Residence Life for Programming and Development is responsible for the supervision of undergraduate and graduate staff, community development, responding to resident concerns, student counseling, administrative and facility management, and participation in department initiatives and campus life. The incumbent is responsible for the management and operation of a group of residence halls. Duties also include crisis intervention within the residence halls, discipline, and participation in the Senior Staff Duty Group (Residence Life professional and graduate student staff). The Assistant Director of Housing and Residence Life for Programming and Development reports to the University Director of Housing and Residence Life. This is a 12 month, full-time, professional, live-in position.
