Job Summary
Provide overall leadership and vision for creation, administration, and evaluation of comprehensive Academic Success Center (ASC) programming, including Tutorial Services, Educational Assistance Programs, and Testing. Direct and manage ASC operations, programs, and personnel. Engage collaboratively with Provost's Office, Division of Enrollment Management, and Division of Student Affairs on student persistence, intervention, support, and graduation initiatives. This position has been identified by Federal Law (Jeanne Clery Act) as a Campus Security Authority (CSA), with significant student and campus responsibilities. CSA's are obligated to report crimes reported to them which occurred on campus, in public areas bordering campus and in certain non-campus buildings owned or controlled (leased) by the University.

  • Perform related duties as assigned to support the mission of the University
  • Serve as liaison to other University units
  • Develop, implement, and oversee assessment strategies for the unit
  • Develop and implement strategies and procedures for recruitment, hiring, training, evaluation, and ongoing development of all employees
  • Provide leadership and support for university student success initiatives, including Momentum Year and Momentum Approach
  • Present programs and training workshops to students, student groups, and campus partners
  • Represent Academic Success Center at University events including orientation, open houses, and recruitment events
  • Serve as an instructor for FYE 1220 First-Year Seminar
  • Oversee development, coordination and delivery of a range of educational assistance programs for students
  • Coordinate Learning Support Program and serve on Regents Advisory Committee for Learning Support
  • Collaborate with academic departments to offer support services to students
  • Manage professional and support staff in delivery of services and programs
  • Oversee and manage fiscal resources associated with the Center
  • Lead planning and implementation of departmental strategies
  • Administer organizational activities, set business strategies, delegate tasks, and recruit managerial employees in implementation of strategic goals
  • Lead, direct, and supervise the Academic Success Center team

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
  • Masters degree

Required Experience
  • Five (5) or more years of related work experience
  • Supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Experience
  • Working in academic support, student instruction, or student success in higher education
  • Experience with restructuring and managing organizational change

Proposed Salary
$56,300 - $70,000
