Job Description
The position must have completed the Advanced Supplemental Instruction (SI) Supervisor Training in order to fulfill responsibilities for dissemination of best practices in SI across the United States and internationally through training and consultation. The position interfaces with higher education professionals and organizations from across the United States and around the world for the purposes of advancing the International Center for Supplemental Instruction (ICSI) to grow revenues that directly support ASM programming. The position reports to the Executive Director of The ICSI.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Train and provide consultation with higher education professionals from the U.S. and around the world in SI online
- Organize and facilitate events as requested
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Completion of the Advanced SI Supervisor training conducted by the International Center for Supplemental Instruction and at least 2-years’ experience working in SI program leadership at a higher education institution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in Education, Psychology, Higher Education, or other related fields
- Working knowledge of student development/learning theory
- Experience developing and managing academic support programs such as tutoring, writing assistance, and/or developmental reading
- Experience working in higher education
- Experience conducting training workshops or making presentation
Part time, not eligible for benefits. Anticipated FTE will be .25 per contract (may be more, but will always be less than .74).
