Part-time adjunct faculty member(s) are sought to teach courses in the undergraduate First Year Seminar department. Positions are open for traditional classroom settings, introducing students to the various departments and offices across campus, helping them navigate college as well as career, and providing an environment of reflection, mental preparedness, and critical thinking. Other important lessons will include the development of writing and oral presentation, information literacy, the use of electronic technology for learning, study skills, time management, wellness, civic engagement, social responsibility, financial literacy, personal ethics, and academic integrity.
Adjunct faculty are responsible for instructional preparation and assessment of student performance, and faculty provide assistance to students by appointment.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum: Master’s degree and experience teaching at the college or high school level.
- Preferred: Doctoral degree and significant teaching experience at the college level.
