The Deputy Title IX Coordinator is responsible for supporting the
Title IX Coordinator with coordination and managing the
programmatic implementation and operation of the day-to-day
responsibilities associated with UNC Asheville's equal opportunity
program and compliance obligations under Title IX, Title VI, Title
VII, ADA/Section 504, VAWA, the Clery Act, and other related
federal and state laws. This role also assists in managing the
protection of minors on campus program.
While compliance is an essential responsibility of the Office, the Deputy Title IX Coordinator will be instrumental in supporting the office's efforts to foster a safe, respectful, inclusive, and responsive campus culture. To ensure that the office achieves this aim, it is essential that the Deputy TIX Coordinator build and maintain positive rapport with all campus constituencies, including students, faculty, staff, and administrators, as well as community partners. The position also serves as the primary point of contact for communications, such as responding to inquiries and issues from any internal or external sources including campus administrators, students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
