Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Supervisor of Housing Repairer, the Repairer works independently and is responsible for the general maintenance and repair work of residential buildings on campus, including office equipment and furnishings.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Works independently or in a group of a housing services group in the repair and maintenance of water, drainage waste, toilet bowls, wash basins, and urinals; and radiators, and other types of basic repairs to plumbing, appliances, and machinery.
  • Works independently or in a group of a housing services group in the painting of wood, metal, brick, and cement walls, floors, and ceilings of the interior and exterior buildings; basic repairs of cabinets, desks, chairs, and other furnishings and equipment.
  • Repair and maintenance of buildings, office furniture, screens, storm sashes, frames, windows, ceilings, partitions, and other types of carpentry work.
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma.
  • Experience: One (1) year of experience in work involving in the inspection, repair, and general maintenance of household, office, and other equipment fixtures, fittings, appliances, machinery, furnishings, and buildings.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license in good standing issued by state of residence is required.
