The Department of Social Work at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke invites applications for a Lecturer of Social Work Position. This is a one year, full-time, non-tenure track position beginning Spring 2022 semester. The individual hired will have primary teaching responsibilities in the MSW Program but could also have opportunities to teach in the BSW program. This position will primarily include teaching and service. 
The Department of Social Work has both BSW and MSW programs. Programs include advanced standing and 2-year regular program. It also has a Substance Abuse Certification and an NC School Social Work Licensure programs. The successful candidate may be required to teach one or more areas of the MSW and BSW social work curricula and field practicum; provide academic advisement to students; develop curriculum, and teach face-to-face and online courses. In addition to instructional duties, he/she would be required to participate in service activities.

Minimum Training and Experience Requirements:  A Master of Social Work degree from a CSWE accredited institution is required.   Two years of post MSW degree professional work experience required.  

A doctoral degree in social work or closely related field is preferred.  ABD students will be considered.   Some level of college/university teaching and online teaching experience is preferred.
