This position provides a full range of athletic training (AT)
health care services for the University's NCAA II Division athletic
teams. This includes, but is not limited to the prevention,
evaluation, assessment, management, and treatment of
injuries/illnesses, short-term and long-term rehabilitation of
injuries, education and counseling of student-athletes, and related
health care administration. Works in cooperation with and under the
medical supervision of the Team Physician(s).
Pay rate: 45/hr
Perform as certified athletic trainer in the prevention,
evaluation, assessment, rehabilitation, management, treatment, and
treatment of injuries and illnesses.
Provide athletic training health care services for team
practices and home contests.
Make medical referrals and in consultation with supervising
team physician, determine the medical clearance of
Document and effectively communicate with coaches all medical
restrictions for participation.
Provide emergency care under the policies and procedures of the
Office of Athletic Training and the Plan of Care with the
supervising team physician(s).
Assist with the formation and maintenance of student-athlete
Maintain proper medical record keeping and documentation of all
injuries and illnesses.
Assist the Director of Sports Medicine with administrative
responsibilities - including, but not limited to management /
processing of insurance claims, review of policies and procedures,
website management, supervision of student-workers or interns,
Share in the responsibilities of athletic training facility and
fitness center maintenance and upkeep.
Maintain proper certifications/licensure as required by the
State of New Jersey.

Bachelor’s Degree required.
Certified Athletic Trainer by the Board of Certification.
Licensed (or eligible for licensure) as an Athletic Trainer by
the New Jersey Board of Medical Examiners.
Current certification in CPR/AED for the Professional
Experience in an athletic training facility environment
Knowledge of NCAA regulations.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Strong computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Prior experience with neurocognitive and vestibular testing and
Maintain licensures/certifications in good standing through the
completion of continuing education.
