Job Description

The Department of Finance ( https://business.providence.edu/finance/ ) in the School of Business at Providence College is seeking a full-time, tenure-track faculty at the assistant professor rank commencing August 1, 2024.

Housed in the newly built Arthur F. and Patricia Ryan Center for Business Studies, the School of Business ( https://business.providence.edu/ ) is an AACSB -accredited, fast-growing, innovative institution of higher learning committed to faculty and student excellence. The ideal candidates for these positions will be committed to high-quality teaching, student advising, research, and service. As the College’s student body grows increasingly diverse, experience and commitment to teaching and mentoring students from a range of economic, social, and cultural backgrounds is preferred. Successful candidates will also be expected to conduct scholarly research in their area of concentration consistent with the standards of AACSB, and to engage in service activities for the School and the College.

Essential Duties

The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in business analysis, analytical decision making, and operations management . Candidates with an inclination toward data analytics are especially encouraged to apply to have a comprehensive view/perspective for our future development.

Education and Experience Required

A Ph.D. or D.B.A. in business/data analytics, operations management, and operations research, or a closely related field, preferably from an AACSB -accredited institution, is required. ABDs with anticipated completion by the time of appointment will also be considered.

The salary for this position is between $125,000-$140,000
