The Department of Surgery is recruiting for an exceptional Academic
Plastic Surgeon to join our Division of Plastic and Reconstructive
Surgery. We are looking for candidates with a track record of

Elective and emergency surgical practice will be based primarily at
University Hospital and the attached American Family Children's
Hospital, caring for both adults and children. This position will
support the division in its efforts to grow priority clinical
programs such as multidisciplinary pediatric craniofacial services,
orthognathic surgery, microsurgical facial reconstruction,
temporomandibular joint surgical care, and general plastic surgery
services. Call responsibilities for plastic surgery patients will

Degree and Area of Specialization:
MD, DO, or equivalent is required. Additional training in Plastic
Surgery is required.
Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:
Completion of a fellowship in Craniofacial Surgery following a
Plastic Surgery Residency is required.
Candidates with Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training prior to
completing a Plastic Surgery Residency and Craniofacial Fellowship
are encouraged to apply. Must possess clinical and academic
credentials sufficient for appointment at the Assistant Professor,
Associate Professor, or Professor rank.
Appointment as associate professor or full professor will require
that candidate's credentials meet criteria for rank established by
UW School of Medicine and Public Health Guidelines.
License or Certificate:
Candidate is required to have or be eligible for Wisconsin and
Illinois medical licenses. Board eligibility or board certification
in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery through the American Board of
Plastic Surgery or equivalent is required. Must be eligible for
enrollment as a billing provider and for all necessary hospital
