Position Purpose
Provides temporary administrative support to the Dartmouth Cancer Center for its grant progress report and competing renewal submission. Assist in daily operations and facilitates grant preparation and reporting support and organization.

- Associate’s degree, or the equivalent work experience.
- Three years of general office or financial experience.
- Ability to manage logistical and administrative details of multiple tasks or projects.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to plan work, set priorities, and respond to pressures, deadlines, and changes in schedules and priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively, independently, and as a member of a team.
- Proficiency in database management, spreadsheets, and other computer software.
- Ability to maintain and foster confidentiality.
- Commitment to diversity and to serving the needs of a diverse community.
- Document version control.
- Experience with document and copy editing.
- Ability to balance competing demands with the ability to quickly reprioritize as necessary.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and interact with all levels of employees, management and leadership.
- Willingness and ability to exercise judgment and initiative and to interact with a diverse set of faculty, personnel, and outside agencies in a professional manner.
- Familiarity with Dartmouth accounting systems and procedures.

Key Accountabilities
Description
Grant Submission Support:
- Monitors program announcements from the National Cancer Institute regarding reporting requirements for NCI -designated Cancer Centers.
- In coordination with DCC Research Administration, assists in completion of required data tables reporting DCC Member status, Leadership appointments, sponsored research awards, new cancer patient registrations, and clinical trial activation and enrollment status.
- In coordination with DCC Research Administration, assists in the compilation and reporting of information regarding Member participation in Cancer Center Program meetings and utilization of Cancer Center Shared Resources.
- In coordination with DCC Research Administration, assists in compiling updated DCC Member biosketches.
- Collects and compiles reports from developmental fund recipients on subsequent funding awards and publications.
- Assists in preparation and submission of information and sponsor-required evaluations and reports.
- Serves as document czar in maintaining submission files and version control.
- Assists Program and Senior Leadership in incorporating project- and Member-level reports into composite reports at the Program and Center-wide level. Coordinates the compilation of documents and reviews for consistency across documents in multiple references to identical or related information.
- Drafts and edits conversion of volume information into tabular
summaries.

Administrative:
- Works cooperatively with internal collaborators to achieve strong communication and coordination of grant and publication reporting.
- Coordinates and communicates with research personnel campus-wide. Coordinates and arranges meetings of DCC Administration, Program Leaders, and Center Senior Leadership.
- Assists with monitoring research support to ensure Research Program compliance related to required documentation policy and reporting.
- Provides logistical and administrative support for on or off-site meetings. May assist with minor AV needs of setting up meetings.
- Under direction, provides administrative support to the cancer center on non-grant related tasks.
