The American College of Financial Services the nations leading accredited institution focused on delivering applied financial knowledge and education is looking for a dynamic Content Writer to help lead bold editorial initiatives within a growing Marketing & Communications team. This position will report to the Director of Strategic Communications.

The Content Writer must be well versed in financial terminology and have a strong understanding of the financial services industry from identifying supporting research and macroeconomic data to building out an editorial calendar that speaks to various financial services industry audiences, including financial advisors, life insurance agents, CPAs, and estate planning attorneys. The Content Writer will be a key stakeholder in the development of clear messaging, within the brand and on strategy, across a large variety of content types including email and website copy, paid media advertisements, and brochures to editorially-driven work on white papers, resource guides, infographics, video scripts, website insights, and more. The Content Writers portfolio will also include internal and corporate communications projects, providing a wide breadth that will introduce his or her work to internal and external audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Produce original, relevant, clear, and compelling copy that engages and informs with a clear call to action Help maintain content strategy/editorial calendar. Thoroughly research industry competitors and The College's target audiences to support creative strategy and inform execution. Provide writing support for a variety of programs and projects as needed, including messaging to external audiences and internal stakeholders Implement foundational SEO principles in all digital content Collaborate with the design team to turn content into creative Help unpack data and analytics from enterprise strategic content initiatives, working with direct supervisor, peers, and other internal departments to make sense of the numbers to inform future content decisions. Ensure accuracy and attention to detail across projects that reflects positively on The College's brand and strategic priorities Skills and Knowledge Required:

Clear competency in MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Docs/Sheets Proficiency in AP style Strong understanding of messaging tailored to traditional and emerging channels Ability to distill varying viewpoints and complex ideas into captivating or concise messaging depending on the need or channel Consistency in delivering a clear voice across content with the ability to tailor core themes and value props to specific audiences Demonstrated excellence in identifying and interweaving data into compelling stories across content types Strong knowledge of the financial services industry the education professionals need, the products and services they offer, and the language they speak Confidence presenting work across The College, from The Presidents Office and Executive Leadership to direct supervisor and peers Pride and ownership in the quality of work with a dedication to amplifying The Colleges brand Education/Experience Requirements

Bachelors degree in English, journalism, communications, or related field Minimum of five years of corporate writing experience required Financial services writing experience is preferred, particularly in B2B organizations in financial education, wealth, asset, investment management, financial technology, or related services for financial professionals. Portfolio/writing samples required.
