The Hamilton Holt School at Rollins College seeks a solutions-oriented, organized, and detail-focused Director of Operations to support the day-to-day operations of the Holt School. Under the direction of the Dean of the Hamilton Holt School, the Director of Operations provides a range of administrative and academic duties in support of the strategic growth and development of the Hamilton Holt School, and supports the Dean of the Hamilton Holt School in the direction and coordination of the daily operations and management of the School.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Administrative

 

  • Oversees and ensures the day-to-day operations of the Holt Dean’s office are appropriately managed, efficient and effective.
  • Operationalizes goals and objectives of the Holt School; ensures that necessary resources are created or obtained.
  • Analyzes and reports data in collaboration with the Office of Institutional Research through the creation and maintenance of Holt Data Dashboard.
  • Participates in the weekly Holt Director leadership team meetings.
  • Provides project management of special projects related to the Holt School.
  • Manages and monitors the Holt operational budget (Dean’s office, Holt undergraduate programs, Holt student services, Holt graduate programs).
  • Monitors internal and external student scholarship budgets (Holt endowment accounts, and Holt gift accounts) and manages scholarships and awards in collaboration with Holt Admissions, Financial Aid, and Student Services.
  • Collaborates in the planning of the Holt School annual Commencement ceremony, including the relevant academic and administrative processes.
  • Promotes and enforces undergraduate and graduate policies and procedures.
  • Facilitates good working relationships with other academic and administrative offices.
  • Supports the Office of Institutional Analytics with surveys of Holt students and faculty.
  • Maintains Holt Sharepoint site to archive Holt documentation of internal processes and practices.
  • Supports the Holt Dean in the management of the Holt Advisory Board and committees.

 

  • Academic Support

 

  • Analyzes course needs and programming for the Holt School, including:
  • General Education course offerings and registration
  • Holt General Education assessment and program review
  • INT 200 scheduling and instructor hiring
  • Evaluation of and projecting course needs each term – reporting to academic departments
  • Coordination of undergraduate course schedules each term
  • Works with academic departments, HR, and Endeavor Center to hire, train, and support new adjunct faculty.
  • Oversees probation and dismissal process and communication.
  • Liaises with faculty in support and management of Holt interdisciplinary programming.
  • Collaborates with the Director of Admissions to assist in the facilitation and oversight of articulation agreements with community colleges.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in Higher Education or business operations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain rapport with faculty and staff in the academic and professional environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Master’s Degree in Higher Education, Business Administration, Human Resources, or other relevant field preferred.

 

Work Environment:

 Working in-person, on campus, in an office/field/team environment that is fast paced.
